Oak Wall Shelf

The shelf has a classic dovetail joint in the corners, the interlocking teeth you can see along the edge. Toolboxes used to be built that way, because the joint holds even without a nail and only tightens further over time. The wall screws go through the back edge, so you do not see them from the front. It easily carries a row of books or a few heavier tools, I tested it with my own tools in the workshop. The surface is oiled, so it can be sanded again at any time if a key or a screwdriver scratches it. I do not include wall anchors, since that depends on your particular wall.
