Oak Dining Table

I built this table from a single plank of old oak that had been seasoning in my workshop for over a year. The top is solid wood, not veneer over particle board, so it can be sanded and re oiled at any point, even twenty years from now. The legs are mortise and tenon, doweled together, no metal bracket, no extra glue where a proper joint is enough. The surface is oiled, so the wood breathes and darkens a little over time, which only adds to its character. You can pull up eight chairs around it and it will not wobble. This is the last piece from this particular plank, the next table will come from a different piece of wood and will look a little different, that is how solid wood works. Smaller pieces I ship by courier, this table I deliver and assemble at your home myself because of its size.
